The BBT-4 is made for the installation and removal of 6-notch SC-S and AC-H cartridge cups used on sealed cartridge bottom brackets. These bottom brackets have six notches around the outside of each cup. The handle of the BBT-4 is vinyl coated for comfort. This dedicated socket is built to engage all 4 of the holes on a SRAM dub crank arm dust cap. These caps don't normally need to be removed but when you do need to work with them, few things work well. These tools feature a common 3/8" square drive like the rest of our socket range and also have a hexagonal exterior so you can mount them in a vise and use the crank arm as the lever if so desired.
